MAKE A DONATION

Donations to Doorstep are used to provide extra support to young people. They help in emergencies when someone becomes homeless, they help along the way when someone falls on hard times, and they help at the end of our support when we're settling someone in to a permanent home. There are different ways you can make a financial donation:

We can accept cheques or postal orders through the post- please do not send cash! Send donations to:

Doorstep, 115 Pasture Street, Grimsby, NE Lincs, DN32 9EE and made payable to Grimsby & Cleethorpes Area Doorstep.

We accept online payments through a fundraising platform.  From here you can make a one-off payment or set up a direct debit. If you would prefer to make a bank transfer please email us to request our bank details.

The simplest way to donate a small amount of money is by texting DOORSTEP to 70450 followed by your amount (between £1 and £20). From here you can also set up a regular payment of £2 per month. [Texts will cost the donation amount plus one standard network rate message]

Food & toiletries

Please use our lists to guide you in making a food donation. These bingo cards can be used to tick off one item each time you visit a store!

Other donations

Furniture and Electrical Goods
We will always consider a donation of furniture but we do not have the physical space to store it and we do not own a delivery van. We cannot collect anything in a hurry so these kinds of donations need to be planned.

Any items we consider must be in good condition with no damage or visible marks or stains. If you have something you would like to donate please send any information in an email along with photographs. All fabric items must have the Fire Safety tags still attached.

We cannot arrange for items to be collected at short notice and would suggest that you consider the other charities in the area that have furniture shops and/or delivery vans.

Clothing & Bedding/Towels
We do not have a clothing bank but during the winter we often receive items such as socks, gloves or hats. Clothing donations must be new and suitable for our client group of 16 to 25 years old.

We supply brand new towels and bedding to each young person that we house and cannot accept these if they are used.

Calling in advance would help save an unnecessary journeys if we are unable to accept a donation and we can direct you to a more suitable charity that may need your help.
