Doorstep introduces new initiative with local advice service

If you need advice and support, we’re here for you.

We’re offering a new Young Person’s Specialist Advice & Guidance Service, delivered by Centre4 Advice, at Doorstep. The initiative is designed to offer comprehensive specialist advice on a range of issues, including but not limited to, financial difficulties, benefits, debt and benefit appeals. Generalist advice, referring and signposting can be offered on housing, employment issues and personal health & wellbeing.

We understand the unique challenges young people face, beyond housing, and we’re here to help by building on what we already do well.

What to Expect: Partnering with Centre4, their team of specialist advisors will provide advice sessions in our centre; a safe and friendly environment on Pasture Street, Grimsby. You can share your concerns, ask questions, and receive guidance without facing things alone. You will speak to an advisor, in private, and they will help you figure out what to do next.

When and Where: Every week, from 12:30pm – 4:30pm, at Doorstep, 115 Pasture Street, Grimsby, DN32 9EE. There is no appointment needed to make an enquiry, but longer appointments may be scheduled for specific situations.  The service officially starts on Tuesday, 12th March.

What’s different: While our main focus remains supporting young people with access to housing, our expanded service now covers specialist advice in money matters, benefits and debt,  You can still access our existing housing support without an appointment, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 2 pm. You can still contact us through email and our social media channels.
