Kim Warren


Kim Warren is a retired housing professional with an extensive background in the housing sector. She holds a BSc Hons Degree in Housing Studies, an HNC in Housing, and a Diploma in Policing Domestic Violence. Throughout her career, she has undertaken numerous training courses to support her professional development.

Kim’s career in housing began in 1993 and spanned until her retirement in 2018. In 2002, she joined South Holland District Council and was quickly promoted to Head of Housing within six months. By 2009, she had advanced to become the Head of Housing, Homelessness, Supported Housing, Property, and Construction Services.

In 2011, Kim relocated to Grimsby to take on the role of Head of Housing at Shoreline Housing Association, a position she held until her retirement. Her work has involved close collaboration with various statutory and voluntary sectors, enhancing her understanding of the broader housing and social issues and the challenges facing housing providers today.

During her tenure at Shoreline, Kim developed strong partnerships with the Leaving Care Team to support housing provisions for care leavers and worked with Navigo to establish move-on supported accommodation HUBS. She also served as a lead officer working with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) as a Trusted Partner to support the rollout of Universal Credit in Grimsby and ensured a housing presence at local Job Centre offices.

Kim is passionate about the provision of high-quality housing and support. She is delighted to bring this passion to Doorstep as a Trustee and looks forward to working with the staff, supporting, and assisting Doorstep in their future plans.
