Donate to us
This page explains how to donate to support young people experiencing homelessness in North East Lincolnshire.

By making a donation you are directly helping young people who have no one else to turn to when they get in to difficulty.
“I haven’t had a new coat for 4 years and I got used to it, but my coach persuaded me to get one. I had been used to wearing hoodies but it was getting cold. I’ve had compliments on my new coat- Thank You Doorstep!”

How donations help
Donations help when someone becomes homeless, they help along the way when someone falls on hard times, and they help at the end of our support when we’re settling someone in to a permanent home. Donations are used for:
- Relieving food and fuel poverty
- Providing emergency clothing, bedding or toiletries
- Enabling travel and transport for work or training
- Preventing evictions due to housing-related costs
- Encouraging social interactions, hobbies and interests
- Supporting group work

Donating food and toiletries
We would very gratefully accept donations for our food and toiletries bank. We help young people in need who love nothing more than a pot noodle, some toast or a decent bowl of cereal.
For that reason there are items we cannot use when they are donated to us, so please take a look at our resources to help you decide on what to donate. We always pass on unused items to other local food provisions.
- General donations poster
- Harvest festival poster
- Bingo card – toiletries
- Bingo card – food

Donating furniture and electrical items
We will always consider a donation of furniture but we do not have the physical space to store it and we do not own a delivery van. We cannot collect anything in a hurry so these kinds of donations need to be planned.
Any items we consider must be in good condition with no damage or visible marks or stains. If you have something you would like to donate please send any information in an email along with photographs.
All fabric items must have the Fire Safety tags still attached. We cannot arrange for items to be collected at short notice and would suggest that you consider the other charities in the area that have furniture shops and/or delivery vans, such as Women’s Aid or CARE.
