Gift Aid

Make Your Donation Count Even More

Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows charities like ours to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you donate. This means that your contribution becomes even bigger– at no extra cost to you. If you’re a UK taxpayer, completing a Gift Aid declaration allows us to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your donation.

How to Gift Aid Your Donation

All you need to do is complete a Gift Aid declaration form, which confirms that you’re a UK taxpayer and are happy for us to claim Gift Aid on your donations. Whether you’re donating online or offline, this small step has a huge impact.

If you’re making a donation through our fundraising platform at People’s Fundraising, you can make the declaration there.

If you’re making a bank transfer or plan to visit us and donate via cash or cheque, you can complete the form in advance and send it back to us or we will ask you to complete it during your visit.

Gift Aid declaration form

Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 you donate. Gift Aid is reclaimed by our charity from the tax you pay for the current tax year. Your address is needed to identify you as a current UK taxpayer.

By completing the form below you are agreeing to sign up to the Gift Aid Scheme.

Please notify us if you:

  • Want to cancel this declaration
  • Change your name or home address
  • No longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self-Assessment tax return.

We would like to keep you informed about the work you are helping make possible. If you do not wish to receive any further information from Doorstep, please email fundraising@mydoorstep.org.uk. Doorstep will not pass on your details to any other organisation.
